Sweeney Miller went ‘Animal Krackers’ as they celebrated Easter with a fundraising effort.
Staff at Sunderland-based Sweeney Miller, one of the North East’s leading firms of solicitors, got in the spirit with an egg decorating competition in aid of animal welfare.
Solicitor Michael Storey enlisted daughter Jessica’s help to decorate an egg as a penguin which won the prize for ‘most creative’ effort.
The ‘most decadent’ title was taken by Jessica Fenwick who decorated her egg with gold rocks and gold paint while fellow staff member Pauline Warburton won ‘most patriotic’ egg with help from her grandsons Finlay and Joshua who injected a bit of red, white and blue into their design.
Staff also took part in a raffle to win a large Thornton’s Easter Egg which was won by Damien Todd while Jessica Fenwick won the smaller Easter egg and cup.
Kate Carpenter of Sweeney Miller said: “We also all ate an enormous amount of chocolate over the course of the day of which the highlight was the visit of our very own ‘Easter bunny’ in the shape of Paul Miller complete with egg basket and bunny ears!!
All the proceeds from our Easter raffle are being donated to animal rescue and re-homing charity Animal Krackers based in Grangetown Sunderland.
