A daredevil team from North East law firm Sweeney Miller will leap from the roof of the Baltic arts centre in aid of the Stroke Association.
The adrenalin junkies from the law firm’s offices in Sunderland and Newcastle are taking part in the zip slide in aid of the national charity.
The team will ‘zip slide’ 918ft from the roof of the Baltic Centre of Contemporary Art in Gateshead to the Newcastle quayside.
Sweeney Miller partner Paul Miller will be joined by staff members Mike Cattermole, Catherine Henderson, Damien Todd, Jemma Rackstraw, Kate Carpenter and Jess Fenwick who all hope to raise at least £100 each.
Paul Miller said: “To enter the zip slide event each team member must pledge to raise the minimum stake each but we hope to raise much more through business contacts, friends and families.
“The Stroke Association is one of several charities that Sweeney Miller supports every year. We have a great team of staff who love to get involved which is great. Hopefully we will live to tell the tale and raise some much needed funds in the process.”
The zip slide event is set to take place over the weekend Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th March this year.
