Sweeney Miller Law has won a Silver Shared Value Award in recognition of the life-changing impact their support has made to people facing homelessness across the region.  The award was recently presented by local homelessness charity Oasis Community Housing to Sweeney Miller Law's Senior Partner Damien Todd.

Damien said 'Social value is at the heart of our business and, for us, it's essential that we give something back and support the communities where we work.  So, we're delighted to have won this award from Oasis Community Housing in recognition of our ongoing support of their work with men, women and young people facing homelessness."

The Shared Value Awards celebrate the success of charity-corporate partnerships that go above and beyond to support Oasis Community Housing's mission of bringing hope and a brighter future to everyone facing homelessness.

Oasis Community Housing supports over 1,200 people each year across the North East and South East of England.  The Gateshead-based charity works to tackle both the immediate need and the root causes of homelessness through its homelessness drop-ins,  emergency housing and longer term supported accommodation projects.

Sarah Lister, Acting Chief Executive of Oasis Community Housing said "Our Shared Value Awards recognise those businesses that go above and beyond in support of our charity.  Every year, we deliver vital support, housing and moreover, a place people feel they belong."

"We could not deliver what we do without the generous support of our valued corporate partners and the dedicated individuals within these businesses.  This award reflects the real and lasting difference this partnership has made to helping people to rebuild their lives."
