- Practice makes perfect!
- Remember to take time out.
- Use the examiners’ reports to your advantage.
- Help one another!
- Have a good ‘night before’ routine.
Since joining Sweeney Miller Law in 2018 to undergo her apprenticeship, Rachel has been studying alongside her day-to-day duties as an Accounts Assistant, when asked what she enjoys about working at Sweeney Miller she commented: “I like the good career progression. The firm has fully supported the AAT apprenticeship encouraging further learning and getting me involved with tasks in the workplace that linked directly to what I was studying where possible.”
A number of Sweeney Miller’s former apprentices have since continued their careers a the firm in both legal and non-legal roles and the firm makes a real commitment to career progression across all service areas. All apprentices, together with everyone in the firm, also have the opportunity to take part in our own bespoke in-house training programme, designed to provide school leavers and graduates with structured, vocational based learning. The programme focusses on ensuring service standards, procedures, communication skills, administration, and technical expertise, and looks to embed the core values of the firm – ‘The Sweeney Miller Way’ – from the start of their career at the firm.
