Sweeney Miller Law are seeking to recruit experienced and motivated Residential Conveyancing Paralegals to join our growing Property team in both our Sunderland and Newcastle offices

You will have great customer service skills and like to work in a forward-thinking property law environment.  You will be part of the team supporting clients through their initial journey in house buying and selling whilst working with Conveyancers to provide a better home moving experience for all.

Role description:

  • Full assistance and support to a Conveyancer on all transactional matters
  • Liaison with clients and third parties
  • Maintaining our case management system and progressing milestones
  • Issuing sale contract packs
  • Preparing sale reports
  • Obtaining redemption statements and preparing draft completion statements and invoices
  • Undertaking relevant searches
  • Preparing transfer deeds, SDLT and tenancy declarations
  • Preparing completion packs and attend to calls to clients and third parties
  • Handling Conveyancer phone calls and visitors when not available
  • Any other administrative duties as required to facilitate the accuracy and speed of the transaction

You will have:

  • Excellent customer service and organisational skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • A good standard of English and Maths
  • A good knowledge of the conveyancing process
  • Excellent attention to detail
